Somaha Meat & Chill

A renowned steakhouse and wine bar in central Siem Reap: French and Mediterranean bistro cooking, exceptional meats, and a well-stocked cellar — opposite the Old Market and steps from Pub Street.

Somaha Meat & Chill is a well-known steakhouse and wine bar in the heart of Krong Siem Reap, a short walk from the Old Market and Pub Street. Run as a family business by Fred (kitchen, from the south of France) and Payou (wines and cocktails), the restaurant proudly calls itself « the restaurant for meat lovers », with French and Mediterranean bistro-style cooking.

Meat & menu. The focus is premium beef — tenderloin, Wagyu sirloin, bavette, rib eye, flank steak, beef tartare, and a Wagyu burger. The menu also blends French classics (French onion soup, burrata, house terrine, charcuterie) with Khmer touches (loc lac, Khmer ceviche, spring rolls, Cambodian-style pot-au-feu). Salads, fish, and vegetarian options round out the offer.

Wines & cocktails. A serious cellar: French labels (including Burgundy), plus Chilean, Argentinian, Spanish, Italian, and Australian bottles. Signature Somaha cocktails (classics and house creations) are ideal for a relaxed evening.

Atmosphere. A cosy, laid-back setting: air-conditioned dining room with eclectic décor, a welcoming terrace, and a private upstairs room for groups. Discreet, old-fashioned hospitality without fuss.
