A free travel site is never really free. Someone pays for hosting, translations, and the hours spent testing addresses. At Easy Cambodia, this funding currently relies on affiliate commissions. If other forms of partnership emerge in the future (sponsored content, advertising, placement), they will always be disclosed as clearly as an affiliate link and detailed on this page. The rule remains the same: total transparency, every time.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a tracked link that allows a partner to identify that a booking comes from our site. If you book through this link, the partner pays us a commission on their own margin — the displayed price is exactly the same as on their site, and you appear to us only as an anonymous number in a commission dashboard. We do not receive your name, contact details, or the specifics of your order. The business relationship remains strictly between you and the partner.

Our charter in five points

  1. Absolute editorial independence

No partner has any say over our content. A poorly organized activity does not pass, even if it is profitable. A partnership can be terminated from our side at any time, without notice or negotiation.

  2. No recommendation without direct experience

We only reference a provider after testing it ourselves or by a team member. This rule applies to hotels, activities, transport providers, insurance — without exception.

  3. Same price for you, always

The amount you pay through an affiliate link is strictly identical to that of the partner's site. The commission is taken from the partner's margin, not added to your bill.

  4. Clear and systematic disclosure

Each affiliate link is identified: explicit mention near the link, disclosure at the bottom of the article, reminder in the site footer. We never hide the commercial nature of a link.

  5. Reversibility

If a partner degrades the quality of their service, we remove their links. If a reader reports a recurring issue, we investigate before continuing to recommend.

How we choose a partner

We are demanding because we attach our name to each recommendation. Before integrating a partner, we check:

Operational reliability

Does the provider meet their commitments? Do the activities take place as announced? Do the accommodations match the description?

Quality of customer service

What happens in case of cancellation, delay, dispute? The responsiveness and good faith of customer service are a decisive criterion.

Pricing policy

Is the price fair for the traveler, comparable to that displayed directly? Are there hidden fees? A clear cancellation policy?

Verifiable reputation

Do independent reviews and feedback from our local network confirm the quality of service over time, not just a marketing stunt?

A particular advantage: we are ourselves operators on one of the major activity platforms (the cruise Kanika and the Phnom Penh Heritage Tour are listed on GetYourGuide). This gives us a behind-the-scenes view — booking flows, review management, technical reliability — that a simple affiliate cannot have.

What this changes for you (spoiler: nothing)

When you go through one of our affiliate links, your experience is strictly identical to a direct booking: same price, same terms and conditions, same customer service, same cancellation policies. No additional personal data is transmitted to us, and your business relationship remains exclusively with the partner. The only difference: we receive, a few weeks later, a commission that allows this guide to exist.

How we disclose affiliate links

Affiliate links are disclosed at three levels, in accordance with Article L.111-7 of the Consumer Code and the recommendations of the DGCCRF:

At the link level: a discreet but visible mention (“partner”, “affiliate link” or the corresponding icon) appears in close proximity to each commercial link. At the article level: each page containing affiliate links reminds this in its footer. At the site level: this transparency page, accessible in one click from all pages, lists our partnerships and their terms.

Becoming a partner of Easy Cambodia

If you represent a brand active in travel in Cambodia and wish to propose an affiliate partnership, here are the criteria we examine:

We do not engage in link placement for a flat fee, nor in the publication of sponsored articles. The partnership is exclusively performance-based and is long-term. We favor partners who agree to a prior test of their service before going live.

Have a proposal for us?

Send us a presentation of your brand, the terms of the affiliate program, and the testing modalities. We respond to all serious inquiries, with an acknowledgment of receipt within 48 hours and a preliminary response within 15 days.
