Les meilleurs Eating du Cambodge

Pépé Bistro

A contemporary French bistro in the heart of Phnom Penh where tradition and innovation meet around the love of gastronomy and sharing.

Pépé Bistro is a highly rated French restaurant in central Phnom Penh. Founded in March 2018 by Chef Aude Moulard (Paul Bocuse Institute, former head chef at the French Embassy), it balances time-honoured culinary traditions with innovative local inspirations in a cozy, romantic setting.

A philosophy of sharing. Rather than a static menu, the card rotates every three months to highlight seasonal ingredients and Cambodian producers. An affordable daily lunch set, plus a strong vegetarian and vegan selection.

Signature dishes. Sautéed squid with chorizo, parmesan cream and black squid-ink rice; French onion soup gratinée; roasted Taleggio with rosemary; tartares, entrecôte with organic Kampot pepper sauce, and house-made cheeses.

Atmosphere. Plush sofas, soft jazz, elegant design accents — a favourite for date nights. A tight-knit family team offers attentive service in English, French, and Khmer.

Practical info. 223 Street 13, Daun Penh (near the Royal Palace). Mon: dinner 6:00–9:30 PM · Tue–Sat: lunch 11:30 AM–2:00 PM & dinner 6:00–9:30 PM · Closed Sunday. Typical spend USD 20–50. Dinner reservations strongly recommended. Tel. +855 87 911 871 · catering on request.

We shared the chorizo squid and that black rice — jazz in the background, plush sofas, and the feeling of a little Parisian bistro steps from the Royal Palace.
