War Museum Cambodia

The only dedicated military museum in Cambodia, showcasing over 2 hectares of artillery, armoured vehicles, and aircraft left behind from three decades of civil war and the Khmer Rouge regime.

The War Museum Cambodia is the only dedicated military museum in the country, located in Sra Nge (Siem Reap commune). Spanning over 2 hectares, it serves as a historic open-air cemetery: armoured vehicles, artillery, and weapons abandoned after the three-decade civil war and the Khmer Rouge regime — a stark look at the impact of geopolitical conflicts on the local population.

Unique Guided Tours

Veteran Guides: Free English tours led by Khmer veterans and landmine survivors — some have lost a limb or their sight. Their testimonies as child soldiers or refugees ground the visit in reality. Tactile Interactions: Unlike display museums, you can handle some disarmed light weapons, shells, and RPGs to feel the weight of the equipment.

Major Collections

Artifacts collected since 1999 from former battlefields (Anlong Veng, Oddar Meanchey). Soviet T-54 and T-55 tanks, visible bullet impacts · Mil Mi-8 helicopter and MiG-19 (F-6) on the grass · field guns, anti-aircraft guns, BM-14 rocket launchers · Mine Pavilion: photos of victims and thousands of deactivated explosives (complements the Cambodia Landmine Museum to the north).

Standing before the rusty Mi-8 and bullet-riddled tanks, it's not just a museum presenting history; it's a veteran who lost a limb handing you a disarmed rifle and sharing his war stories — an experience that leaves a lasting impact.
