Meta House
The premier independent art space and German-Cambodian cultural centre since 2007 — featuring exhibitions, cinema, theatre, a Goethe German school, and a community bar in the heart of Phnom Penh.
Meta House is Cambodia's largest independent media and arts centre, founded in 2007 by German filmmaker Nico Mesterharm. As the official partner of the Goethe-Institut in Cambodia, it blends art, media, and social engagement to support the contemporary art scene while welcoming expatriates, travellers, and locals.
Cultural Hub. A 3-storey building with a rotating programme that is often free: visual art exhibitions, independent film screenings, theatre, music, and round tables. Galleries and a 'mini-museum' showcase Khmer art, historical photography, and international collaborations. Outreach with the Ministry of Education and NGOs has reached over 500,000 students through educational theatre nationwide.
Goethe-Zentrum. Certified German courses, intercultural workshops, and a media library.
Berlin Bar & Genova. Dining in the courtyard and on the rooftop — international cuisine, German and Italian classics, acoustic music, quizzes, and DJs in a relaxed atmosphere.
