Banana Resort

On Sombai Road, in Jung Lung village, Banana Resort is six villas in a garden of coconut, mango and banana trees. Each villa takes the name of a temple — Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, Bayon, Beng Mealea, Banteay Srei, Bakheng — and has two en-suite bedrooms, a living room, an open kitchen and a terrace. The six share one large pool and a jacuzzi. The resort says the temples are a ten-minute drive away.

Table and services

Breakfast is homemade: bread, butter, jams, pastries, fruit and a smoothie. The garden restaurant serves Khmer and international dishes until 8:30 pm. Each kitchen has a fridge, microwave, hob, toaster, kettle and rice cooker. Wi-Fi and air conditioning come with the villas. Parking is free. An airport transfer can be arranged on request. The team speaks English, French and Khmer.
