Bai Sor (“white rice” in Khmer) is one of Phnom Penh’s most talked-about dining rooms. Its promise: bringing lost Cambodian flavors back to the tablelocally sourced, fire-cooked, always Real Real Khmer, no fusion. Located on the ground floor (G Floor) of TRIBE Hotel at Baksei Cham Krong Street 95, corner 97 Preah Sisowath Quay, Executive Chef Tim Pheak uses live fire, charcoal and clay pots to revive traditional recipes.

Open daily: 6:30 AM – 10:00 PM. Lunch: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Dinner: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM.

Menu & pricing

Typical meals run $10 to $40 per person depending on proteins and format. Premium proteins: Bassac Farm black pig ribs, Tajima Wagyu tomahawk, Wagyu skewers. Seafood: Kep and Kampot rock lobster, king crab with Koh Kong dipping sauce, seafood vermicelli. Nostalgic comforts: smoked dried fish green mango salad, local dipping sauces, clay-pot classics.

Ambience

Sleek, minimalist design with a spacious open kitchen and a large glass wall onto the live-fire line — ideal for a “kitchen theater” dinner on the riverside, near Post Office Square; see also Bistrot de la Poste for more tables in the same area.
