Asana Old Wooden House
The last traditional wooden house in the city centre — a Khmer herbal cocktail bar on stilts, with a garden and mixology classes, just steps from Pub Street but away from the noise.
Asana Old Wooden House (Asana Khmer Herbal Cocktail Bar) is a rustic lounge celebrated in a lane off The Lane, in the Old Market area. Founded in 2012 by Unn Sophary (Pari), it is the last wooden Khmer house in the centre — built in the late 1960s, spared by the Khmer Rouge and urbanisation. A living museum and peaceful haven away from the bustle of Pub Street.
Setting & Menu
Stilted house: open-air garden level — hammocks, daybeds, fairy lights; wooden upper floor with rice sack cushions. Khmer herbal cocktails: local spirits, ginger, galangal, turmeric, fingerroot — some served in ceramic teapots. Signatures include Little Sweet, Ginger Mojito, and Spicy Long Island. Kulen Gin made with Cambodian botanicals (tasting or bottle).
