Between 1975 and 1979, thousands of people were detained at S-21 before being transferred to Choeung Ek and other execution sites. The museum preserves the buildings, cells, identification photographs of prisoners, and exceptional testimonies — including the French audio guide, highly recommended.
Practical: expect to pay 5 USD without audio guide, 8 USD with (3 USD for the audio guide). Open daily from 8 AM – 5 PM. Cash payment at the entrance. Plan for 2 to 3 hours on-site.
