Kravanh
An exceptional restaurant in the heart of a French colonial villa: authentic Khmer cuisine, sustainable products, and an elegant approach to tradition since 2009.
Kravanh is a benchmark for Cambodian gastronomy in Phnom Penh. Founded by Toan Ek Sophie, the restaurant eschews modern fusion to preserve the culinary heritage of the Kingdom — set in a restored colonial villa that blends fine dining with contemporary art.
Philosophy & Menu. Traditional recipes, sustainable produce from the founder's organic gardens and small rural producers. Dishes range from 9–16 USD: fish amok, saraman curry (beef or chicken, star anise, cardamom), wild Mekong lobster Koh Bangkang, papaya or snail salads, and banana flower. The dining rooms are adorned with art exhibitions (partnerships with The Gallerist and local galleries).
Atmosphere. A two-storey colonial villa (up to 70 covers): indoor dining rooms, private spaces, balcony. A romantic candlelit garden terrace with greenery and a lit pond — a peaceful haven in the city.
Practical Info. 74 Oknha Ket St. (174), Daun Penh. Open daily: lunch 11:00–14:30, dinner 17:30–21:00. Credit cards and local QR accepted. Tel. +855 12 539 977 (English/Khmer, Telegram) — reservation strongly recommended for the garden.
Dining at Kravanh is like enjoying amok straight from the steamer in a charming colonial villa, surrounded by Khmer art and the rare commitment to preserving Cambodian cuisine.
