Samai Distillery
Cambodia's first craft premium rum distillery: award-winning rums made from Koh Kong molasses and Kampot pepper — shop by day, cocktail bar Thursday and Saturday evenings.
Samai Distillery is the first and only artisanal premium rum distillery in Cambodia, located in Phnom Penh. Founded in 2014 by Venezuelans Daniel Pacheco and Antonio Lopez de Haro, alongside Khmer master distiller Moang Darachampich, Samai combines Latin American traditions with local ingredients.
The Rums
Internationally award-winning spirits made from 100% local raw materials, using molasses from the Koh Kong province. Kampot Pepper Rum: the flagship product, infused with organic red Kampot pepper (sweet, spicy, with notes of guava and eucalyptus). Samai Gold: aged in French and American oak barrels, bourbon, and sherry (caramel, dark chocolate, vanilla). Samai White: white rum aged, with fresh cane aromas, perfect for premium cocktails.
Two Experiences
Brand House & Boutique (Day): Tuesday to Sunday 10am–6pm — purchase exclusive bottles, distillery tours by reservation, private cocktail classes. Bar Nights: Thursday and Saturday 6:30pm–11:30pm, the workshop transforms into one of the city's most popular cocktail bars — guest DJs, live music, and signature Samai rum cocktails. Reservations are highly recommended.
