Samai Distillery is Cambodia's first and only premium craft rum manufacturer, located in Phnom Penh. Founded in 2014 by Venezuelan expats Daniel Pacheco and Antonio Lopez de Haro with Cambodian Master Distiller Moang Darachampich, Samai blends Latin American rum traditions with native Cambodian ingredients.
The rum expressions
Internationally award-winning spirits using 100% locally sourced raw materials, starting with rich sugarcane molasses from Koh Kong Province. Kampot Pepper Rum: flagship infusion of organic Kampot red pepper (sweet, spicy, guava and eucalyptus notes). Samai Gold: aged in French and American oak, ex-bourbon and sherry casks (caramel, dark chocolate, vanilla). Samai White: clean aged white rum with fresh sugarcane aromas, perfect for premium cocktails.
Two experiences
Brand House & shop (daytime): Tuesday to Sunday 10:00 AM–6:00 PM — exclusive bottles, behind-the-scenes distillery tours, private cocktail classes. Bar nights: Thursday and Saturday 6:30 PM–11:30 PM, the production floor becomes one of Phnom Penh's most popular upscale cocktail bars — guest DJs, live music, expert mixologists. Table reservations strongly recommended.
