Sala Baï Hotel & Restaurant School is a non-profit 3-star hotel school located in the Wat Svay area of Siem Reap. Founded in 2002 by the French NGO Agir pour le Cambodge (APLC), this establishment combats poverty and human trafficking by providing free, full-time hospitality training to 150 underprivileged Cambodian youths annually, with a strategic priority of 70% girls among the students. Staying, dining, or enjoying a massage here directly supports this mission: all profits from the hotel, restaurant, and spa fund the education of the students.
Accommodation (5 rooms). A true professional training ground, the venue remains intimate: five comfortable rooms set in a tranquil tropical garden. Standard and family rooms feature air conditioning, garden views, private bathrooms, desks, free Wi-Fi, minibars, and tea and coffee. Your stay includes a fully prepared à la carte breakfast served by the students as part of their daily practical training. Direct booking is recommended.
School restaurant. Highly rated on TripAdvisor, the open-air dining pavilion offers creative cuisine blending Khmer traditions with Western influences. Three-course lunch menus around 14.50 USD, half-menu options at 14 USD, or a multi-choice à la carte menu. Hotel guest breakfast: daily from 7am–9am. Public lunch: Monday to Friday 12pm–1:30pm (by reservation or walk-in depending on availability). Restaurant proceeds directly fund tuition.
Wellness spa. A dedicated space where beauty students practice relaxation and care techniques. Affordable prices: 60-min foot reflexology ~12 USD, 90-min Khmer massage with hot compresses ~40 USD. Open to the public Monday to Friday, 2:30pm–5pm.
Location. Peaceful on Tonlé Sap Road (Wat Svay): about 1.9 km from King's Road Angkor and Pub Street; ~10 km from the main entrance of Angkor Wat.
