Sala Baï Hotel & Restaurant School
A non-profit hotel school offering free training to 150 youths annually. Enjoy a meal while supporting their education.
On Wat Svay–Tonle Sap Road, Sala Baï is the training hotel of the French NGO Agir pour le Cambodge. The association, founded in 1985, launched the programme in 2002. Each year, 150 young people from disadvantaged backgrounds train here in hospitality at no charge to them, with priority given to girls, who make up 70% of the students. In 21 years, more than 1,900 students have been trained and have found work. Staying or eating at Sala Baï pays for that training: the students practise in real conditions. A restaurant and a spa are part of the school.
The school
Training is free for the students. Eating in the school restaurant or staying in the hotel is the practical placement, and it funds the programme.
