Lavanya is at 21, the corner of Street 136 and Street 49, in Khan Daun Penh. The building dates from 1969. It was an office. It stood empty through the Khmer Rouge years, from 1975 to 1979. The corner had been a neighbourhood noodle shop. The hotel took it over and renovated it.
Rooms
Breakfast is included in every room. The menu mixes the two kitchens: an omelette, poached eggs on a baguette, French toast, a banana pancake, and on the Khmer side a noodle soup, grilled pork with rice, chicken porridge, fried rice. Coffee, tea, juice and filtered water on request. Seasonal fruit with every plate.
The room downstairs
The restaurant is on the ground floor, glazed onto the street, with a wooden counter. A small hotel, in a corner building.
