Himawari Hotel Apartments

Himawari Hotel Apartments is at 313 Sisowath Quay, facing the meeting of the Tonle Sap and the Mekong, in Khan Daun Penh. The hotel presents itself as 5-star. It opened on 20 June 2001 as Micasa. Himawari, Japanese for sunflower, has been the name since 2005.

115 suites and apartments, for a night or a longer stay. Each has a kitchen, a sitting room, a dining corner and a balcony, toward the river or the city. Himawari Suite 56 m², one-bedroom executive 89 m², two-bedroom executive 118 m², two-bedroom premium 123 m², three-bedroom premium 175 m².

By the water

A large pool, an outdoor jacuzzi, a tennis court, a steam room, the FitnessOne gym and a playground. The Pool Café serves snacks and smoothies facing the Tonle Sap. The hotel's microbrewery, which the site calls the first in a hotel-apartment in Cambodia, is open from noon to 10:30 pm.

Dining

Oyster Restaurant & Bar serves fusion cooking from 6 am to 10:30 pm, with a buffet breakfast. The desk is open 24 hours. Free parking, an airport shuttle, 24-hour room service, and wifi in the common areas.

Around the hotel

The Royal Palace and the National Museum are a few minutes on foot, up the quay. The Kanika boat is moored in front of the hotel. Check-in from 2 pm, check-out by noon.
