Grand Phnom Penh Golf Club

The Grand Phnom Penh Golf Club is a championship 18-hole (Par 72) course located about 20 minutes northwest of downtown Phnom Penh, near the international airport. Designed by Nicklaus Design and opened in 2009 (or 2012 according to sources), it is part of a large real estate development managed by the Chip Mong group.

The course is known for being flat yet technically demanding due to the often-present winds and numerous water hazards. It stretches from 5,200 yards (red tees) to approximately 7,914 yards (black tees). While the fairways are generous, the areas around the greens feature mounds and complex shaping that penalise inaccuracies. A key hole is the 17th, a massive par 5 of 645 yards requiring a carry over water.

Although the course is well-regarded, the off-course facilities have faced criticism for their temporary nature. A new clubhouse has been under construction for several years, with registration currently taking place in a kiosk or temporary container. The changing rooms are located a few hundred metres from the starting point in a converted residence. The practice area includes a driving range with floating balls hit towards a lake.
