Amanjaya Pancam Hotel is a 4-star boutique hotel on Sisowath Quay, in Daun Penh. Open since 2002 and renovated in 2022, it has 21 rooms and suites, from 42 to 85 m², facing the confluence of the Tonle Sap and the Mekong.
Rooms
Rosewood floors, local silk and a furnished balcony over the river. The official site lists Deluxe rooms from about 80 USD and Junior suites from 85 USD. Executive and Panoramic categories sit above that, depending on the season.
In the hotel
The Le Moon rooftop, open since 2010, is for a sunset drink or dinner over the river. On the ground floor, Sombok serves contemporary Khmer cooking by the twin chefs Kimsan, also behind Embassy in Siem Reap.
High-speed Wi-Fi, breakfast depending on the rate, a bathtub and a separate shower, and a desk. The concierge is open 24 hours and an airport transfer can be arranged. The front desk speaks English, French and Chinese.
Around the hotel
The Royal Palace, the National Museum and Wat Ounalom are a few minutes on foot.
On Sisowath Quay, the private balcony looks straight onto the river. In the evening we go up to Le Moon and watch Phnom Penh light up. In the morning the Royal Palace is a few minutes on foot.
