1995 Atmosphére Bistrot
A historic French institution in Phnom Penh, founded in 1995 by Didier Finot.
1995 Atmosphére Bistrot (often simply called L'Atmosphère) is one of the oldest French culinary institutions in Phnom Penh. Founded by Didier Finot in 1995, the restaurant is renowned for its authentic regional cuisine and friendly atmosphere.
The menu features homemade delights: Burgundy snails, steak frites, coq au vin, onion soup, and foie gras. The bistro is also known for its barbecue (including the 5A label andouillette from Troyes) and house-made charcuterie, complemented by a fine selection of French wines.
Housed in a restored colonial building with an Art Deco style, featuring air-conditioned dining and a large outdoor patio, the bistro offers a calm and warm atmosphere. Address: 141 Boulevard Norodom, just south of the Independence Monument. Open daily from 11:00 to 14:00 and 17:30 to 22:00, with dishes generally priced between $10 and $25.
At L'Atmosphère, the friendly vibe and the colonial Art Deco setting transport you to an authentic French culinary experience in Phnom Penh, where Burgundy snails and coq au vin beautifully complement the charm of the spacious outdoor patio. It's a true little corner of France in the heart of the Cambodian capital.
