Katanashi, a Japanese tapas bar, has quickly become one of the most popular restaurants in Phnom Penh.
Established in 2007, Katanashi has previously operated in Japan and Singapore. The restaurant's carefully crafted design and attention to detail provide the perfect ambiance for socializing with friends, a date, or solo dining.
Most items on the menu are priced between $2 and $5, but as it is a tapas bar, the portions are bite-sized.
Therefore, ordering multiple dishes is recommended, which might add up. However, Katanashi's prices are by no means expensive.

Katanashi is not only famous for its delicious dishes but also for its games. For instance, when you order a drink, you can roll two dice. Depending on the outcome, you might get a free beer, pay half the price for a beer, or pay double the price for a beer.
The exciting part is that if you have to pay double, the glass is also double the size.
